LONGVIEW, Wash. (AP) — Cowlitz County sheriff’s detectives have arrested a man they suspect of making counterfeit money to use at the Clark County, Wash., Fair, which opens Friday.

The Columbian reports that the investigation indicated the man was manufacturing high-quality money and had used as much as $20,000 of it to buy drugs and pay off debts recently.

An informant told officers the man was making a new batch of cash to be distributed at the fair.

Deputies found a printer, linen paper, forged currency and drug paraphernalia in a Longview home after serving a search warrant. They say 34-year-old Jeremiah J.H. Anderson was arrested Wednesday night for investigation of forgery.
